Frame Ventures was started in 2003 with the acquisition of Paramount Hotels Inc. to manage hotels we acquired near Union Square. Our main focus is acting in a general partner role in value-added hospitality investments. Through key strategic relationships with select partners, Frame Ventures also pursues opportunities outside of the hospitality principal role.
Daniel Tallez
Daniel brings his international culinary expertise to lead Frame Ventures' hospitality projects. He hails from Mexico City and and studied and worked in Europe. Daniel was the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Manager for the then newly opened Westin hotel in Mexico City. He was an integral part of the opening team that positioned the hotel as a top 3 hotel in Mexico City. Daniel was a key member of the openings team for new Starwood's new hotels in Latin Ameica. He also served as Alto Sham "consultant" for Latin America and the Carribbean.
In 2014 Daniel was chosen by the Mexico City Government to represent Mexico and its cuisine at the New York City Wine and Food Festival. In September 2015, Chef Daniel Tellez was awarded first prize for the Bocuse d'Or Mexico.
In 2016 renound restaurantur Larry Mindel and Joanne Wier invited Daniel to the bay area to become partner and executive chef of their Mexican Restaurant, Copita.
